For the third consecutive year, Brad Atelier created La Bordée’s visual platform. The theatre’s 41st season was marked by the appointment of a new artistic director, Michel Nadeau. The new platform reflects this new direction and highlights the inherent values of the institution: a popular theatre deep-rooted in its city and a space sincerely engaged in humanity.
The characters from the various plays of the 2017–2018 season all navigate difficult situations. The playwrights expose these struggles through compassion, kindness, tenderness, laughter— in other words, with humanity. It was important that the visuals underline this aspect. In a theatrical production, our creation paints the time and space in which each story takes place, as we aim to depict the occupations and concerns of the protagonists.
